Lucifer is one of the most awaited series and Netflix finally dropped the trailer of Lucifer Season 5 on july 13,2020.
The show follows Lucifer (Tom Ellis) who is bored as the Lord of Hell and resigns his throne and abandons his kingdom for Los Angeles, where he starts helping the LAPD specifically detective Chloe Decker (Lauren German).Season 4 ended with Lucifer returning back to the underworld.
The 1 minute 52 seconds trailer, begins from where Lucifer Season 4 ended, with a goodbye kiss between Lucifer and Chloe, before Lucifer returns to rule Hell. Chloe (Lauren German) tells Mazikeen (Lesley-Ann Brandt) that she hasn’t been very good since Lucifer left for hell and has been immersing herself in work and hanging out with her to forget him.
However, Lucifer returns to earth when he sees Chloe in danger but Chloe feels he is changed since he has returned. Mazikeen, who was left on earth, confronts Lucifer and gets to know that he is not Lucifer but his twin brother Michael.
Michael has some evil plans, and one gets a whiff of it when he says, “I am not gonna break Lucifer’s life, I am gonna take it,” with an evil smirk. But, how can Lucifer leave Detective Decker aka Chloe with his evil twin? The Lord of Hell will be back on earth for the love of his life.
The rest of the Lucifer season 5 trailer is made up of action scenes, kisses, and a shot that imitates The Shining, before it ends with Michael and Lucifer facing each other.
Release date and last season
Lucifer season 5 is going to be release in two parts. Part 1 will release in August but there is no set release date yet for the season’s second half.
Lucifer was originally set to end with the fifth season, but Netflix renewed it last month for a sixth and final season.
